Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Dowajo, including our website, request form, communications, and related services. By submitting a request, approving a quote, paying an invoice, or otherwise using Dowajo, you agree to these Terms.

1. Dowajo services

Dowajo provides lightweight support for everyday Korea-related tasks, including booking assistance, shopping support, translation and message writing, local research, customer support communication, and other practical requests that Dowajo agrees to handle.

Dowajo reviews each request before accepting it. We may decline, modify, pause, or stop work on a request if the request is outside our scope, incomplete, risky, restricted, unavailable, unlawful, or otherwise not a good fit for the service.

2. Eligibility

You may use Dowajo only if you are at least 18 years old and can form a binding agreement. If you use Dowajo on behalf of a company, organization, or another person, you represent that you have authority to do so and to provide the information needed for the request.

3. Requests and scope

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information when submitting a request. Dowajo relies on the details, links, deadlines, preferences, and instructions you provide.

A request is not accepted until Dowajo confirms that we can help and, where applicable, you approve the quoted scope and price. If a request requires extra time, cost, purchases, third-party fees, or additional coordination, Dowajo may ask for your approval before continuing.

4. Restricted requests

Some requests may be declined if they involve restricted, risky, illegal, identity-sensitive, unsafe, or professional advice areas such as legal, medical, immigration, tax, or financial matters.

Dowajo does not provide legal, medical, immigration, tax, financial, or other regulated professional advice. Dowajo may also refuse requests involving identity verification, account access, restricted goods, unsafe activities, harassment, deception, adult content, illegal conduct, or instructions that may violate a third party's terms or rights.

5. Third parties

Many requests involve third-party websites, sellers, venues, delivery providers, platforms, government offices, customer support teams, or other external services. Dowajo may help you communicate with or navigate those third parties, but Dowajo does not control them and is not responsible for their availability, prices, policies, decisions, delays, cancellations, quality, goods, services, or acts or omissions.

Any purchase, booking, reservation, delivery, refund, return, exchange, warranty, or similar matter offered by a third party is subject to that third party's own terms and policies.

6. Fees, payment, and refunds

Some Dowajo services require payment. Dowajo will confirm the applicable fee, scope, and any expected third-party costs before starting paid work. Unless Dowajo states otherwise in writing, payment is required before work begins.

Refund eligibility depends on the type and status of the request. Service fees for work already performed are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Dowajo.

7. Communications

You agree that Dowajo may contact you by email, request form, messenger, or other contact methods you provide for service-related purposes, including request review, quotes, invoices, confirmations, updates, questions, and support. You are responsible for monitoring those channels and responding in time for deadlines that matter to your request.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree not to misuse Dowajo, interfere with the website, submit false or misleading information, impersonate others, scrape or copy the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit harmful code, violate applicable law, infringe third-party rights, or use Dowajo for unlawful, abusive, unsafe, or deceptive purposes.

9. Dowajo content and feedback

The Dowajo website, branding, text, images, graphics, design, software, and other materials are owned by Dowajo or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Dowajo materials except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

If you send Dowajo suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you allow Dowajo to use them without restriction or compensation.

10. Privacy

Dowajo collects and uses information needed to review, quote, perform, and communicate about your requests. By using Dowajo, you agree that we may process the information you provide for those purposes. If Dowajo publishes a separate Privacy Policy, that policy will also apply.

11. Service availability and security

Dowajo aims to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the website, request form, communications, third-party tools, or any request outcome will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, timely, or available at any particular time.

12. Disclaimers

Dowajo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dowajo disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

Dowajo does not guarantee that a request will be accepted, completed, approved by a third party, completed by a deadline, or result in the outcome you wanted.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dowajo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, opportunity, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of Dowajo or any third-party service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dowajo's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid Dowajo for the request giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Dowajo harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your request, your instructions, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your violation of third-party rights, or information you provide.

15. Ending use of Dowajo

You may stop using Dowajo at any time. Dowajo may suspend, decline, or terminate access to the service or any request at any time if we believe it is necessary to protect Dowajo, users, third parties, or the integrity of the service, or if you violate these Terms.

16. Changes to these Terms

Dowajo may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above or provide notice by a reasonable method. Your continued use of Dowajo after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the business entity operating Dowajo, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to contact Dowajo and try to resolve the issue informally.
