Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dowajo collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, submit a request, communicate with us, or use our services. Dowajo is intentionally lightweight: we do not currently require user accounts, dashboards, or customer logins.

1. Information you provide

When you submit a request through the Dowajo request form, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your first name, last name, email address, preferred contact method and contact details, request details, and any deadline information you provide.

Depending on your request, you may also provide links, screenshots, addresses, product details, booking details, recipient information, delivery preferences, message drafts, prior replies, payment or invoice context, or other information needed to review or complete the request. Please do not provide sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the request.

If you contact Dowajo by email, Instagram, messenger, or another channel, we may collect your contact details, username or handle, message content, attachments, and related communication history.

2. Information collected through Tally

Dowajo uses Tally to host and embed the request form on our website. Tally processes the form information you submit and may process technical information needed to display, secure, and operate the form.

Our current request form includes Tally's respondent country field. This field automatically estimates the respondent's country from their IP address, appears in the form submission data, and is not visible to the person filling out the form. Tally states that this country field does not store or track personal information, and that country detection may be inaccurate, for example when a VPN is used.

Your use of the embedded request form is also subject to Tally's own terms, privacy, and data processing practices.

3. Automatically collected website information

When you visit our website, Dowajo and service providers may process standard technical information such as browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, timestamps, and diagnostic information. This information helps operate the website, load embedded services, prevent abuse, and understand general site performance.

You can control cookies and similar browser-based technologies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect embedded services such as the request form.

4. How we use information

Dowajo uses information to:

• Review, price, accept, decline, and complete requests.
• Contact you about availability, quotes, invoices, and updates.
• Communicate with sellers, venues, platforms, delivery providers, customer support teams, and other third parties when needed for your request.
• Process payments, purchases, bookings, deliveries, and support.
• Maintain records of requests, approvals, payments, and disputes.
• Improve our website, services, policies, and customer support.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, restricted requests, legal obligations, and security issues.

5. How we share information

Dowajo may share information when reasonably needed to review or perform your request. This may include sharing relevant details with sellers, restaurants, venues, delivery providers, customer support teams, payment processors, form providers, hosting providers, communication tools, professional advisers, or other service providers.

Service providers may process information on Dowajo's behalf for limited purposes such as form hosting and submissions, website hosting, communications, payments, recordkeeping, and support. For example, Tally processes request form submissions for Dowajo.

For purchase, booking, delivery, or communication requests, the third party receiving the information may need enough details to identify the item, reservation, address, recipient, issue, or account-related context. Dowajo shares only what we reasonably believe is needed for the request.

Dowajo may also share information if required by law, to enforce our terms and policies, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

6. Payments

If you pay for Dowajo services through a third-party payment provider, that provider may collect and process payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. Dowajo does not intend to collect or store full payment card numbers through the request form.

7. International processing

Dowajo may use service providers located in different countries. Information may be processed in Korea, the United States, the European Union, or other locations where Dowajo or its service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. For example, Dowajo's request form is provided by Tally, an EU-based form service provider.

8. Retention

Dowajo keeps information for as long as reasonably needed to review and perform requests, communicate with you, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of request, payment, purchase, delivery, dispute, or legal requirement.

9. Deletion

When personal information is no longer reasonably needed and Dowajo has no legal or legitimate reason to keep it, Dowajo deletes or de-identifies it. Electronic records are deleted using reasonable technical methods, and any paper records are shredded or otherwise securely destroyed.

10. Security

Dowajo uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no website, form provider, email system, messaging platform, or internet transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your choices and requests

You may contact Dowajo to ask for access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, withdrawal of consent, or other handling of your personal information. You may also make a request through an authorized agent where allowed by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we may retain certain information when needed for legitimate business, legal, security, or recordkeeping reasons.

You may choose not to provide certain information, but Dowajo may be unable to review or complete your request without the information needed to perform it.

12. Third-party services

Our website, request form, communications, payments, and service delivery may involve third-party websites and services. Dowajo is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Children's privacy

Dowajo is not directed to children. You may use Dowajo only if you are at least 18 years old. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

Dowajo may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above or provide notice by a reasonable method. Your continued use of Dowajo after changes become effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
